Britta

Dr. Britta Christensen

Dr. Britta Christensen was involved in the project as a researcher from the very beginning. Dr. Christensen was head of the laboratory at the Prenatal Research Unit at Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet). She is co-founder of FCMB ApS. She is a highly respected scientist within her field and has published 55 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Prof. Steen Kølvraa, MD

Prof. Steen Kølvraa is professor of Clinical Genetics at the University of Southern Denmark. His main research interest is cytogenetics and prenatal diagnostics with special emphasis on FISH techniques. Since 1998, he has focused much of his interest on the development of methods for prenatal diagnosis based on fetal cells in maternal blood, a topic on which he is a world-renowned expert. Prof. Kølvraa is co-founder of FCMB ApS. Prof. Kølvraa is a highly respected scientist within his field. As the author of more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals and of 16 chapters in scientific literature, he is highly acknowledged in the scientific community for his considerable contribution.

JarneJarne Elleholm, Chairman
Mr. Jarne Elleholm has more than 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical and life science industries at Vice President and CEO level with a record of achievement in strategic business development, restructuring and driving profitable growth. Jarne has served as CEO for the Biotech company Aresa A/S where he built up the organization and completed an IPO. Prior experience includes European Vice President for Whatman International, a LSE listed company, and CEO for Lundbeck Ltd. UK where he successfully launched several pharmaceutical products. Jarne holds an M.Com from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from INSEAD.

Mr. Falch is a MD and has got several years experience from the pharma- and biotech industry and is project manager at Oestjysk Innovation. Mr. Falch serves on several boards for Oestjysk Innovation.

Prof. Berthold Huppertz, PhD is professor of cell biology and the vice head of the Institute of Cell Biology, Histology and Embryology at the Medical University in Graz, Austria. He is a renowned placentologists and one of the few placental morphologists worldwide. His main research interest is placental development and pregnancy pathologies such as preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction. He has published more than 100 articles and is in the editorial boards of leading journals in the field of reproduction.

 

Dr. Kiarash Khosrotehrani is Assistant Professor in Dermatology and deputy director of the developmental physiopathology laboratory at the University of Paris. His research focus is on fetal stem cell transfer in maternal tissues during gestation. At the Division of Genetics directed by Prof. Diana Bianchi (Tufts-New England Medical Center), he studied animal models of fetal cell microchimerism, a source of pregnancy-associated stem cells.
Dr Kiarash Khosrotherani received a number of international rewards and holds a number of publication.

Since 1998, he has focused much of his interest on the development of methods for prenatal diagnosis based on fetal cells in maternal blood, a topic for which he is a world-renowned expert. He published more than 150 articles and is member various committees and organizations in Denmark.

 

Dr. Uwe R. Müller has a wealth of experience, which includes his role as Vice President, Product Development at Banyan Biomarkers, Chief Science Officer of NeoClone Biotechnologies International, a monoclonal antibody development company and as Vice President of Applied Science at Nanosphere, Inc. where his primary responsibilities included next generation assay systems research for proteomics, genomics, infectious disease and bio-defense. His 20+ years of experience in the development of molecular diagnostics also includes management positions with Corning, Inc., Vysis, Inc. (now owned by Abbott Molecular) and Amoco Technology Company. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Kansas State University and postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. From 1979 to 1988, he was a faculty member at the ECU School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina, where he received tenure in 1984.

 

Prof. Dr. Guido Sauter is the head of the department of Pathology in Hamburg, Eppendorf. He is a worldwide-recognized molecular Pathologist, who developed the WHO classification of urogenital tumors. In his time at the famous Basel Institute of Pathology he was pioneering in the development of the tumor micro arrays and managed a world reference laboratory for the international breast cancer research group. Prof. Guido Sauter received a number of international rewards and is in the editorial board of leading scientific journals.

 

Prof. Niels Uldbjerg, MD, is the head of the department for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Hospital Skejby in Aarhus, Denmark.
